Bios

Jeremy Ballenger

Jeremy is a career project and general manager with a professional and academic interest in uncertainty and risk in project management. His specific areas of focus are applied quantitative analysis incorporating Monte Carlo methods and statistical analysis, understanding judgement under uncertainty (heuristics and bias in decision making), enterprise-wide risk management, project management process and governance, contracts management and turnaround management.

Jeremy has previously held senior bid & project management positions under varying contracting arrangements (LSTK, EPC) in the renewable energy sector (solar), oil & gas (upstream & downstream), utilities (coal & gas fired generators) in Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Brunei, France, the United Kingdom and the United States. A Member of the Australian Institute of Project Management, his education includes studying at St. Peter's College under a Bickersteth Scholarship and an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management.

Luis Suarez

Luis is a financial management consultant with more than 20 years experience in advising large and small organisations on design and implementation of business intelligence systems required to support decision making process across the oil and gas, mining, consulting, renewable energy and logistics industries.

His scope of work has covered strategic planning, financial performance management (Activity Based Costing, budgeting, cash flow management and project accounting), business process reengineering, project financial management and risk management among others. During his career he has been exposed to the complexity of operating in international business environments in the Americas, Asia-Pacific region and Australia.

In addition to his accounting background, Luis is a Master of Finance and holds an MBA from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College.
